Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010 - Documentaries at the Galleries

In addition to the eye-catching high-speed panorama 'Blazing the Trail', Intuitive Films also produced a number of intimate documentaries on the YOG.

Below are short extracts from the audio-video pieces specially commissioned for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore. First screened in the Olympic Gallery at the Suntec International Convention Centre.

This piece follows YOG triathlete, Scott Ang, as he shares intimate and personal thoughts about his passion and sacrifices in his pursuit for gold. We go through a typical day in his life where he balances training, studies, friends and family, as he prepares for the big games.

Part of the "Sports Interviews" series, this piece on male artistic gymnastics gives audiences more insight into both the physical and mental preparation of these competitive gymnasts.

Also part of the "Sports Interviews" series, this piece on the sport of equestrian riding gives audiences more insight into the sport of showjumping and competitive horseriding. Through interviews with athletes and coaches, audiences can learn more about sports which are not commonly played.

Intuitive Films also produced the audio-visuals for the YOG Village Gallery over at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This included the multi-screen panorama 'More Than Winning', which celebrated the values of the Games - Excellence, Friendship and Respect - as well as 'The Olympic Flame', a tribute to the Summer Olympic Games from its inception.

The audio-visual installations will become part of the permanent collection over at the Olympic Museum currently being set up at the Youth Olympic Games Learning Centre.
